KUMST: Who are we and what do we offer?
KUMST is a creative hub that supports anyone who wants to make a living professionally through creative work in thecultural and creative sectors. That is why, among other things, we organizeeventsrelated to these sectors and sublet meeting roomsand workspaces in our coworking space to people from these sectors. Each of these services is governed by separate terms and conditions.
KUMST is operatedby JIC, an interest association of legal entities, with its registered office at Purkyňova 649/127, Medlánky, 612 00 Brno, ID No.: 711 80 478. JIC supports entrepreneurs and fosters the development the innovation ecosystem in the South Moravian Region. The founders of JIC are the South Moravian Region, the City of Brno, Masaryk University, the Brno University of Technology, Mendel University in Brno, and the University of Veterinary and Pharmaceutical Sciences Brno.
How can I order and pay for the service?
To order a service, you must have a member account set up on our websitewww.kumstbrno.cz. If you already have a studio subleased at KUMST, your member account is set up automatically. You can find the current list of all our services, including their prices, on the website, where you can order them through the member area. You must pay for the selected service within 10 minutes of placing the order in the member zone via the online payment gateway operated by ComGatePayments, a.s., otherwise the order will be canceled.
How can I cancel an ordered service?
You can cancel your participation inan eventor the subleaseof a meeting room without a cancellation fee at least24 hours before the scheduled start time.
You can cancel the rental of a coworking space without a cancellation fee no later than 8:00 a.m. on the last day preceding the scheduled startof the rental period for the coworking space.
If you are unable to cancel the service within the specified timeframes, we unfortunately cannot refund the amount paid, and it will be forfeited without compensation. Cancellations must always be made through the member zone on the website. We will refund the amount paid for a properly canceled service within 14 days.
For how long and in what quantity can I book a coworking space?
You can only book one coworking space at a timeand fora maximum of 23 days per order, though these days do not have to be consecutive. You can place all orders upto a maximum of 6 months in advancefrom the date the order is placed. If you book a sublease for a minimum of 3 consecutive days, it is considered along-term sublease. Rent is quoted at a daily rate.
What does a coworking space look like?
You will have a sharedworkspace that is currently available in the coworking space at that time. It will consist of a desk and chair, and possibly other equipment. Coworking spaces are located in the KUMST coworking space on the 2nd floor of Building A.
When do I have access to the coworking space?
To enter KUMST and the coworking spaces, you will purchase one-time-use chip cards, which you can also use for future subleases after reactivation. You can therefore access the coworking spaces anytime KUMST is open for business (i.e., not on weekends, public holidays, or days when KUMST is closed). However, the total rental period begins at the start of KUMST’s opening hours on the first day of the rental and ends at the close of business on the last day of the rental.
For what purpose can I sublease a coworking space?
You can use the coworking space to conduct your business activities or other work activities falling within the cultural and creative industries(these include, in particular, architecture, design, fashion, film, game development, the book market, creative advertising, music, radio, and television, etc.). In the case of a long-term sublease, you should participate incommunity life at KUMSTand use the coworking space frequently enough.
For what purpose can I sublease the meeting room?
You can use the meeting room to hold meetings, seminars, workshops, presentations, events, etc., as part of your business or other professional activities withinthe cultural and creative industries.
The last 5 minutes
The last 5 minutes of the final reserved half-hour of the meeting room rental are automatically deducted. The rental period is therefore 5 minutes shorter than what you booked, but the price is not reduced. Why? We want to ensure that the transition between clients in the meeting room goes smoothly and that the next rental starts on time. The rental price is set to correspond to this shortened time.
